V.VOB is a field-encoded interlaced sample, meaning in MPlayer's status 
line, you see different numbers for "decoded" and "shown" fields.
The sample (or at least libavcodec) claims to be bottom-field-first, but 
is actually top-field-first (it needs -field-dominance 0 for correct 
deinterlacing).
