These are examples of "MSRLE" .avi files produced by Apple QuickTime Pro 7.
You can produce them using the "Export..." option from the "File" menu,
selecting "Movie to AVI" and the "BMP" video encoding. suzie_appl_rle8.avi
has been produced by setting the number of colors to 256, while
suzie_appl_rle4.avi has been produced by setting the number of colors to 16.

Although the fourCC is set to "RLE ", the frames are not really encoded with
MSRLE, but are ordinary palettized bitmaps. Inside the BITMAPINFOHEADER, both
files show BI_RLE8 encoding, even though it should be BI_RGB.

Apple QuickTime has no problems playing any of the files.
Windows Media Player plays suzie_appl_rle8.avi without problems, but does not
play suzie_appl_rle4.avi.
